1st egg of the year for the Cathedral Peregrines!

Dorothy, the Peregrine Falcon who nests on the 37th floor of the gothic Cathedral of Learning, laid her first egg of the year last night! In some of these sccreenshots, you can see her gently nudging the egg and the shadow of her partner, the tiercel E2.

For more information on the Cathedral Peregrines and their neighbors at the Gulf Tower, check out the blog Outside My Window. To watch them yourself, go to the National Aviary's falconcam for the Cathedral.
